Community Auto has served Northern Colorado for three decades with honest, care-first auto repair. No high-pressure sales. No gimmicks. Just genuine concern for you and your vehicle.
Our Story
Rooted in Fort Collins Since 1995
Community Auto’s vision is simple: to provide friendly car repair experiences. It’s more than just car repair — it’s about truly caring for and helping people. No high-pressure sales, gimmicks, or games. Just honest, transparent expertise.
For three decades, we’ve earned the trust of Northern Colorado drivers by putting people first — whether that’s a first-time customer needing an oil change or a longtime neighbor bringing in the family car. As an AAA Approved, NAPA AutoCare Center with ASE Master technicians, we back every job with top-quality parts, nationwide warranties, and a genuine commitment to doing right by you.
We’re proud to have grown alongside the community we serve — and prouder still of the relationships that keep families coming back, year after year.
“We are meant to serve people — through auto repair and genuine care.”
Meet the Owners
Bringing Expertise & Care to Fort Collins
Chris Whited
Managing Partner & Co-Owner
Chris began his career in the automotive industry in 1997 as a detailer with AutoNationUSA. After moving to Colorado, he worked as a service advisor for local Nissan and Toyota dealerships before transitioning to an independent heavy-line diesel shop in Northern Colorado, where he advanced from service advisor to service manager.
Chris later stepped away from the automotive world to serve as a youth pastor and senior pastor at churches in California and Nebraska for 11 years. Although he once considered leaving the industry for good, his return to Colorado eventually led him to Community Auto, where he joined Eric Warrington as service manager.
Since joining the team, Chris has helped build on the people-first culture Eric established. His leadership has strengthened Community Auto’s commitment to integrity, employee support, and customer education—helping the shop become a trusted place where drivers can better understand and care for their vehicles.
Eric Warrington
Founder & Co-Owner
Before he could even drive, Eric was fixing anything with a motor. Whatever the year, make, or model — if it had nuts and bolts, it was an interesting project. After graduating from Colorado State University with a business degree in 1986 and working at various dealerships, Eric turned his lifelong passion for fixing cars into Community Auto in 1995.
Eric is dedicated to creating an enjoyable atmosphere at the shop, and the company’s success comes from his ability to always put people’s best interests first — whether that’s his employees or his customers.
After hours, Eric likes to bring wrecked cars back to life (his most recent being Project Viper). He and his wife, Tanya, have raised six children: Stacia, Katie, Trenton, Chris, Emily, and Matt.
