Community Auto
Having recently bought a 14 year-old car, I had Community Auto take a look at it for potential problems. After one initial and rather expensive repair, they told me I needed both my catalytic converters replaced. The cost would be roughly the price I paid for the car, but they told me that, while I could continue to drive it, the cold weather would make it drive worse. I appreciated the honesty and decided to wait on the converter repair. They were right--the performance of the car was tied to the weather and got worse as it got colder. After mentally accepting the cost of the repair and comparing the cost to how much the converters alone would cost, I realized Community Auto was giving me the best deal (even non-OEM, Colorado legal converters are extremely expensive). The cost of the labor of installing them was nothing to the parts themselves. But what matters is that, when I got my car back, it drove like a dream. And I feel this garage was being honest with me about everything. They easily could have told me a myriad of things needed to be fixed with my decade-old car. After my first inspection, they were clear about what needed to be fixed versus what could wait. They conceded I could drive my car without the converter replacement but it would struggle, which it did until they replaced them both. I have a few other things that will need to be done, but I feel comfortable waiting. They give me peace of mind, which is worth the price. When you can't fix a car yourself and need to rely on a garage to give you the truth, Community Auto is going to be my garage of choice as long as I'm living in Fort Collins.
This means a lot, Raymond! Thank you for your review and for placing your trust in us. We promise to always do our best to merit it!
